Holy Week begins tomorrow, April 14th, as Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem. There will be an 8am service with communion and another worship service at 9am. As the week continues, there will be a service on Thursday beginning at 6:30pm with a re-enactment of the Last Supper by our church men and women, including communion. Following the service, a meal of soup and sandwiches will be enjoyed in Fellowship Hall.
On Good Friday there will be a worship service at noon and another at 7pm. The Evening Service is a Tennebrae, “Service of Light and Shadows”, with Scripture readings and music.
Easter Sunday begins with a Sunrise Service at 6:30am on Beach Rock, on Beach Rock Road, in Barkhamsted. Following that there will be a community breakfast hosted by Barkhamsted First Congregational Church to which everyone is welcome.
At 8am there will be an Easter service including communion, and then a family Easter celebration at 9am.
All of these events are open to the public and everyone is welcome!
