The local chapter of the American Legion has been working diligently to research and determine the identity of a Civil War veteran who is buried in an unmarked grave in Riverside Cemetery (located beside the church). On Saturday, June 2nd the group will hold a ceremony to reveal the identity of this soldier, and to share his story and the new headstone placed on his grave. The public is invited to attend.
