The men of the church will be hosting their annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper on March 4th, 2014 at 6:00 PM in Fellowship Hall. Everyone is welcome to come and share in the feast. A good-will offering will be collected to help with our church missions. Please come join us in our celebration of Shrove Tuesday and indulge in pancakes for supper!
Each Sunday after our coffee hour the congregation is invited to join in the Lenten Bible Study based on the book by Adam Hamilton entitled 24 Hours That Changed the World. The course will be led by Joann Little and Mindy-Lee Church, and will begin on March 2nd and continue through April 13th, following the worship service. Here is how Cokesbury described the course:
“No single event in human history has received more attention than the suffering and crucifixion of Jesus of Nazareth. In this Lenten journey, Adam Hamilton guides us through the last twenty-four hours of Jesus’ life. Each chapter is designed to help the reader experience and understand the significance of Jesus’ suffering and death in a way you have never done before. Whether readers are long-time Christians or simply curious about the story of Christ’s crucifixion, they are invited to join the author in retracing the last 24 hours of Jesus’ life“.
