Rally Day’s a comin’!

Rally Day always marks the beginning our church’s fall activities, and we’ve got plenty going on at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Sunday, September 8th will see the start of Sunday School for all the children. Following the worship service, the Sunday School teachers and children will be hosting a wonderful coffee hour (I’ve hear some of the menu and it’s going to be awesome!).

On Saturday, September 21st we’ll host the first of the two fall Bean Hole Bean Suppers (the second supper will be on October 19th). See the Bean Hole tab across the top of the screen to find out about the menu, the times of service, and where to call to make reservations.

In October our church will host our annual Pumpkin Patch field trip for the Barkhamsted School kindergarten and first grade students. We provide several harvest/fall stories, some games, a healthy snack, and each child will leave with a small pumpkin to remember the event. Our Pumpkin Patch crew really enjoys seeing all the children come and reports indicate that this is one of the favorite field trips of the year for the children.

In November, our women’s group will again host the annual Christmas Fair. Here you’ll find handcrafted items, handmade knit and crochet items, a bake sale, and Attic Treasures. In addition you can have a photo taken with Santa, and then take time to enjoy a hearty homemade lunch in our Christmas Cafe. Plan to start your Christmas shopping with us!

As you can see, fall is a busy time at Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and we welcome you to not only come and enjoy our special events, but come to worship with us on Sunday mornings as well. Everyone is welcome!!
