Our church once again hosted a mini-Pumpkin Patch for the kindergarten and first grade classes at the Barkhamsted School. Each year we welcome the students as they walk across the playground for their visit. Once they arrive the children will enjoy several stories told by Miss Pat, and perhaps a song or game all related to pumpkins or harvest time. A healthy snack of pumpkin muffins, crackers and cheese, and apple juice is served. The muffins are a particular favorite. When it is time for the children to return to their classrooms they are allowed to pick a pumpkin from our patch to take home with them. We always enjoy these visits and know that the children have a good time too.
