It has been known for hundreds of years that blankets or shawls bring warmth and security. They can also carry in their stitches the peace and comfort of the Lord for those going through tough times when the shawls are specifically created by weaving prayers for security, serenity, comfort, healing, understanding, and most of all, love into its creation.
In the early months of 2010, several ladies at PVUMC decided to begin a Prayer Shawl Ministry. As the knitting needles and crochet hooks flew, the stockpile of shawls quickly mounted. After only two months of work, the group was able to drape the church sanctuary with 24 shawls to be blessed by Pastor Carl and the congregation.
These shawls, and more to come, will be ready to be sent to whoever is in need of being reminded that the Lord is with them always. They will bring the love of not only the individual who created the shawl or blanket, but also the combined love and prayers from each member of the Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using?
I’m planning to start my own blog in the near
future but I’m having a difficult time making a decision between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal.
The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something completely unique.
P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
Thank you for looking at our church website. We use WordPress as our platform. The original set-up work was done by another person in our congregation who has since moved away from our state. I was trained a little in using the program, but am just a beginner. I’m sure there is more capability than is currently being used but I’ll need more time for learning the in’s and out’s. I appreciate your comments and wish you the best as you continue with your project.
